kilig day!

I woke up early to meet two of my officemates for we agreed to go to a highly recommended sports injury therapist somewhere in Makati. I was still so sleepy for I slept late last night, but, I was still able to be cheerful.
One of these two officemates had already met him and only said he's cute and young. Of course, I started joking, telling them I'm now willing to have my heart checked up aside from my left knee. :)
The young doctor (not technically a doctor yet, we later discovered), is really cute. My Doc Miguel. :) And he really is very good. For he just checked us up for an average of 15 minutes each, twisting our legs from left to right, bending them to his heart's content. Of course, there were pain, but, with him, I don't mind! (Naks!) My other officemate was so amazed for he cannot do squats before, but, when he tried after his therapy, he wouldn't stop smiling and can only praise my Doc Miguel. :) In my case, he assessed that there's water in my knee and after some twistings and bendings, he's able to remove it from my knee. He made the orthopedics look stupid for they would immediately recommend surgery without really looking into the problem. Right now, I can feel no pain in my knee anymore.
Haaaayyy....with him around, ready to help, I don't mind getting injured again. Hehehe.... ;)

some thoughts to live by when needed...

"...kundi sila makalapit..then hindi sila dapat syo..kasi hindi malakas loob nila...

...kung syo hindi sila makalapit eh..pano ka nila ipagtatanggol?...

...isipin mo na lang na...lucky ka...kasi walang manloloko syo kasi alam nila na dapat respeto ang paglapit syo..may be in a fun way or serious way...suma total? respect and truthfulness NA MAY kasamang TOTOONG goal or interest..."

just have to post this...

as the saying goes: "Kung gusto, may paraan...Kung ayaw, laging may dahilan!"

First time...

Yes, this is the first time someone made/gave me a layout (or whatever you call this). Given for my birthday. Thanks to Mae, a good friend from Baddicts.
Obviously, the people in the pics, the people I was with on the night of my birth anniv this year, are the friends I met, got to know, while playing badminton. c",)
Kulang pa ang nasa pictures. May ilan pang kasama sa group ang di nakasama sa dinner after the regular Saturday games sa GBC...
To all of you, thanks so much for the gift of friendship. Mwah!

How True?

Well, most of this is true.... c",) .... have found the link from "labor day's" entry in her multiply site... ;)

Bring Those Babies to Church

This is the title of the "Food for Thought" I've received yesterday. I receive different "food" daily thru email which I normally cannot read until I saw this subject.

Here's the full content:

My heart goes out to the parents of small children. I know first hand the kind of problems they face. Training up a toddler in the way he should go is a constant job, a continuous battle, seven-day-a- week task, not to mention an awesome responsibility. After six days of their whining chorus at home and three hours of embarrassment while shopping, the last thing some young mothers want to face is an hour of agony and humiliation at church.
Many young mothers have asked herself, "Why do I keep bringing them to church?" As she enters the auditorium she utters a silent prayer that the kids will be good and the sermon short. The service begins. While mother is picking up toys, drying eyes, wiping noses, swatting, scolding, trying to sing, listen, and pray, the toddler is pouring juice on her dress. To the toddler, church is an exciting adventure. Songbooks are a challenge to take, stuffed toys make great missiles to launch over four or five rows, and the collection plate would make a great hat. Young parents take heart! Let me assure you of this:

1. Your children do not disturb others nearly as much as you think they do.
2. If people without children are determined to sit at the back of the church, then they deserve any distraction they get.
3. Most people really do understand your plight and remember back to the days when their children were infants and toddlers.
4. Remember that you are both wanted and needed in the worship service.
5. Have faith that the hand, which now hurls crayons, will one day spread the seeds of the Kingdom.

I felt guilty. 'Coz I become jumpy whenever I'll be surrounded by kids during the mass celebration and while watching movies. Yes, for someone who loves kids, my patience is kinda short during these times. It's like I'm deprived of my personal time, time to be alone or enjoy the movie I'm watching. It's not that I get annoyed everytime these happens. They can be really cute even without trying. But, I still feel guilty, coz they got me distracted (again).

Now I know better...So, help me God. hehehe

Look for the Rainbow

Encouraging Thoughts by Emily Matthews

"There's a rainbow of hope that is shining above, Reminding us all of God's endless love."

Look for the rainbow
when things go awry
And remember the beauty
you've seen in the sky -
Reflect on its promise
and think, as you do,
Of the joy and the hope
that are waiting for you -
For rainbows are simply
reminders we see
Of God's endless love for you and for me.

This is an excerpt from the birthday card my aunt gave me. What made it more "meaningful" was the additional note she enclosed in it. Here it goes:

"Happy birthday Michelle!!! A year older, a year wiser!

For your birthday I was going to hire a sky-writer and put my best wishes whee everyone could see them. Then I thought, you coud probably throw this card in the air and get a similar effect.

Just a few unsolicited reminders as you tend your growing up. As per my experience, the most important matter is our spiritual growth. Getting intimately close to our Creator in each moment of our lives, makes a difference in our peaceful existence. Our moment to moment consultation with our Lord makes the difference in our day.

Take time each day to talk to Him. You may have it all, but, nothing can happen without His approval. Ask Mama Mary to assist you at all times..."

I cannot say how my aunt's seeing me right now, in each day that she sees me...I'm not sure if I can figure it out...Maybe in time...

All in all, the day went by smoothly and quietly. c",) Thanks to friends who have remembered making it more meaningful and special. Mwah!

LOST

a song by Michael Buble. Have loved it after a few times of hearing it from a borrowed CD. And now that I got to know the lyrics, all I can say is "Sh*t!!!!!!!!!!"

****************************************************************

I can't believe it's over
I watched the whole thing fall
And I never saw the writing that was on the wall
If I only knew
Days were slipping past
That the good things never last
That you were crying

Summer turned to winter
And the snow it turned to rain
And the rain turned into tears upon your face
I hardly recognized the girl you are today
And God I hope it's not too late
It's not too late

'Cause you are not alone
I'm always there with you
And we'll get lost together
Till the light comes pouring through
'Cause when you feel like you're done
And the darkness has won
Babe, you're not lost
When your world's crashing down
And you can't bear the thought
I said, babe, you're not lost

Life can show no mercy
It can tear your soul apart
It can make you feel like you've gone crazy
But you're not
Though things have seemed to changed
There's one thing that's still the same
In my heart you have remained
And we can fly fly fly away

'Cause you are not alone
And I am there with you
And we'll get lost together
Till the light comes pouring through
'Cause when you feel like you're done
And the darkness has won
Babe, you're not lost
And the world's crashing down
And you cannot bear to crawl
I said, baby, you're not lost
I said, baby, you're not lost
I said, baby, you're not lost
I said, baby, you're not lost
